I'm a 23 year old mum of two girls from England who eats, sleeps and breathes literature! I've always been a huge believer in making a career out of what you are passionate about and not letting anything get in the way of it. I've been obsessed with fiction ever since I could read; it started with the Goosebumps series, ANY book by Jaqueline Wilson, the Harry Potter series, to the Twilight series (haha!), which then developed into the True Blood series. I was around 16 when I started reading novels that were a bit more risqué and since then my passion for fiction has only gotten stronger. I read every single day. Some people are obsessed with watching tv series or smoking, drinking, etc; I'm obsessed with reading. I'm extremely picky though. Personally, I prefer to read books that are rated above 4* on Goodreads, 3.4* and above for taboo books. I love book series - I'm your typical millionaire/billionaire tycoon, bad boy, alpha-dominant loving reader, so no judgement please!! I also thoroughly enjoy a romantic thriller, anything that is dark, edgy or keeps you guessing. This year I've read 260 romantic fiction books and counting, so I'd like to think that I know what I'm talking about in terms of what makes a damn good book!
I believe that every book should be accurately edited before being published as I have started books in the past and not been able to read further than the first page due to spelling mistakes, gramatical errors or simply poor writing techniques. It is off-putting and such a waste of ability. It genuinely hurts my heart as a book lover, especially when the author has such potential but struggles with the fine-tuning! This is one of the main reasons why I decided to venture into the world of editing!
I'm new to the editing community and my preferred field of work is fiction; romance (including erotica), supernatural and dystopian novels in particular.
