I'm currently offering free developmental editing for experience and a testimonial for my website. This offer is open to novella's/short stories only - up to 20,000 words. Send 1-2 chapters along with your blurb and a little bit about yourself to: eandoediting@hotmail.com and I will get back to you.

I'm also offering paid developmental editing services for novels/novellas over 20,000 words.

I currently edit about 1-5 pages (500 words/pg) an hour, depending on the level of editing needed. I try to keep my working hours to 9-5 (GMT), 5 days a week, but can be flexible to suit your deadline and can be available via email throughout the evening.

I charge 6p a word/£30 per 500-word-page and require a 40% deposit upfront via PayPal.

We will review the job halfway through to ensure we stay on budget, and to make any adjustments if we are ahead or behind on our schedule. If you decide to pay the whole fee upfront, your total will be discounted by 10%

I will be offering the following:

• Checking for spelling, syntax and grammatical errors
• Checking for fluidity with the layout and content (e.g. paragraphs and chapters)
• Ensuring that page numbers/chapter titles are correct and correspond with the table of contents
• Giving feedback from a reader's POV (issues with characters, character names, word choices, overused situations/story lines, etc)
• Making sure the actual story makes sense; that your chapters have a point and you don't waffle on, wasting words and pages!
• Doing contextual research, to develop your content and to ensure that you haven't used false information.
